• 100 % personalized program for every runner based on experience, fitness levels and goals.
• Programs will be tailored and adjusted weekly based on past runs, energy level, and outside influences such as work or home commitments.
• Personalized plan based on three runs per week, cross training and proper stretching program.
• Runs provided to runners every Monday with specific instructions on perceived exertion, pace, etc, focusing on each individual runner’s goals. Weekly run plans will be based on past week's results, struggles and feedback from the runner.
• At least one phone call per week, usually on Sundays, or Mondays to discuss prior week's training and any other issues from prior week’s efforts.
• Expectations from runner of timely and open communication with Mike on anything that comes up after a run that may present a red flag- injury, intensity level needing to be adjusted, etc.
• Runner will provide Mike with details of each run before receiving the next week’s instructions. Any successful coach- runner relationship must consist of good communication. This may be in relation to the runs themselves, or other things going on in the runner’s life that may require an adjustment in the program.
• Unlimited email access with clear expectations of response time laid out at beginning of training phase. Mike will be available for phone conversations as well when needed.
• Specific race strategy that will also play a part in dictating training runs.
**My coaching will not be limited to above and will encompass all mental and physical aspects of training and racing until the athlete is completely recovered from each race.
